ANDRE (ANDY) BERRIAULT

Lovingly surrounded by members of his family, Andy passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023 at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, MB at the age of 67.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Lucille; his step-son Marc; his brothers and sisters: Doris, Rick, Ralph, Carol, Bob, Angel and David; his in-laws; his nephews and nieces; as well as by his many friends in the St. Adolphe and Red Lake areas. Andy was predeceased by his parents, Lionel and Vicky.

Andy was born on April 12, 1956. A truly self-taught man, Andy worked a number of years as an ironworker in Manitoba and Saskatchewan before joining his late father in his construction business in Balmertown, Ontario. From his country home in St. Adolphe, he worked at Ste. Agathe Service Centre before retiring. Even in retirement, he assisted family and friends with their various projects.

Andy’s memory will remain etched in the minds of those who knew him, for he was truly one of a kind. Everyone has an Andy story. He was known for the quality of his work and his problem solving, for his ability to be friends with everyone, for his caring, and for being there when you needed someone. He was genuine in all his relationships, earning the confidence of many. His persona was clearly expressed by his trademark cut-off shirt and daisy dukes, with a bottle of OV in his hand.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Adolphe Catholic Church, St. Adolphe, MB on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at the St. Adolphe Hotel from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place immediately after the funeral.

Many thanks to the staff of the Clinical Assessment unit at HSC and to Dr. Manon Pelletier for their care and compassion towards Andy and his family.

Dear Andy, may you rest in peace knowing that you were such

a positive force during your life.
