After a courageous fight with cancer, it is with profound sadness and sorrow that I convey to you the passing of Zaida Rodriguez Espino, wife, aunt, and sister on September 9, 2023.
Zaida is predeceased by her father Armando Rodriguez Orbe. She leaves to mourn her husband Jeffrey Matthiesen; her mother Maria De Jesus Espino Abarca; her nieces, Janet, Brenda, Maria Teresa, Cinthya and Marisol; and her nephews, Michael and Edgar.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Friends Funeral Services, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg.

It's hard to think you're gone after all this time we had together. The laughs we had the times we had together I'll always remember, though I'll always wish we could've had one more time together. She was always an extremely happy and cheerful person, her laugh brightened rooms, she was caring and genuine which was hard to find from people nowadays. I miss her lots and hope she's resting peacefully in heaven now as will Ashton. Thank you for everything you've done for me Zaida. I'll never forget the kindness you gave me, the meals you made for me, the advice you gave me, and the home you shared with me. I dearly hope we meet another day.
