Offer Condolences or MemoryLANA ANN LOUISE TRUDEAU
It is with deep regret and sincere sadness that Dwight announces the passing of his wife Lana at the St. Boniface Hospital on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 32 years; her mother Sheila Mayer of Grenfell, Saskatchewan; also surviving are her brother-in-law Glenn Trudeau; sister-in-law Debbie (Ed) Pankratz; uncle Allan (Frieda) Feather (Regina); aunts, Elizabeth Melnyk and Peggy Rostosky; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Lana was predeceased by her father Klaus Mayer; her in-laws, Ruth and Joseph Cornick and Rosaire Trudeau, sister-in-law Cara Trudeau; brother-in-law Ken Trudeau and uncle Nick Rostosky who are patiently waiting for her arrival.
Lana was a lover of nature and animals and it is for that reason we know she will be stopping at the Rainbow Bridge for the family pet “Buddie.”
Lana was born in Wolseley, Saskatchewan October 6, 1957 and moved to Winnipeg in her 20s where she met her husband Dwight and they married August 24, 1991.
Lana was a hard worker and held numerous positions at the Garden City Shopping Center. In 2001 she secured a position at the McPhillips Street Station until her retirement in 2020.
Lana has fought a valiant battle with Cancer. She never complained, although those who knew her well could always tell when she had a difficult day. If you were to ask her how her day was going; she was always quick with her one liner response “I’m Fine.”
Dwight and the family would like to thank all the physicians, nurses and staff at CancerCare Manitoba; Health Sciences Centre; and St. Boniface Hospital for their exemplary care during Lana’s brief illness.
Cremation has already taken place.
Lana’s Celebration of Life will take place on September 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB; family interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
