Betty Cimarno of  Winnipeg, MB passed away on September 19, 2023 in the Urgent Care Unit of the Seven Oaks Hospital, at the age of 90 years.

Betty was born in Winnipeg on September 4, 1933. She worked for many years at Norman’s/Brothers Pharmacy until she joined her husband of 55 years in retirement at 62 years of age.

She spent her retirement years camping, caring for grandchildren, cheering on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Winnipeg Jets. She spent many years volunteering for the lady's group of St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. It was something she cherished and had many fond memories and made many friends.

Betty is survived by her daughter Judy (George), her son Peter (Betty), sister Shirley, niece Shelley, granddaughter Kristy (Gene), great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Carter and Hunter, grandson Brett, great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Danika, and a great-great-grandchild Evelynn.

Betty was predeceased by her husband Pete, mother Nellie, father Alex and sister Pauline.

Funeral Service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel Friday, September 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Sianchuk, C.Ss.R. of St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations in memory of Betty may be made to Manitoba Heart & Stroke and CancerCare Manitoba.

The family extends their gratitude to the Nurses and Staff at the Seven Oaks Urgent Care Centre for their care during her short hospital stay.
