It's with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma, on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the age 94.
Violet was predeceased by her husband Clarence, son-in-law Randy, her parents Anna and Alexander Leonhardt, brother Harold, and sister-in-law Dorothy. Violet will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Linda and Debbie; four grandchildren, Merv (Michelle), Lindsay (Jotham), Matthew (Cristina), and Steven (Jamie); and eight great-grandchildren, Avery (Ethan), Hannah, Noah, Connor, Kaleb, Hunter, Sophie, and Dominic. Violet also leaves behind her sister Doreen (Larry), as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for all the loving care they showed to Violet.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street.

We first moved into our home in 1999 and became neighbors with Vi and Clarence. Vi and Clarence immediately came over to welcome us and were always there when we needed advice with flowers, the yard and the neighborhood. And it wasn't unusual for me to come home from work to find Clarence weeding my garden or flower patches. Even after Clarence passed away we would often have those next door chats with Vi until her health no longer allowed her to be out in the yard as much. Such a friendly and caring neighbor.
