It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Mum, grandma and great-grandma, Patricia, on September 28, 2023, at Riverview Health Centre, surrounded by her loving family.
Mum will be missed by daughters, Kelly Bauer, Kim Bartlett and Sherri (Kevin) Hollup; grandchildren, Brittany Bauer (Miklos), Alix (Destiny) Bauer, and Cameron Bartlett (Maya); great-grandchild Aelil, and grandpups, Treble and Louie.
Mum was predeceased by her husband Barry; parents, Joan and Jack; sisters, Jillian and Jackie, and granddaughter Carmen.
Mum was born in Guildford, England, and lived most of her life in St James. She worked at the Winnipeg Free Press classified for over 30 years until retirement. She loved to knit, devoting much of her spare time to making garments for her family, and donating for those in need. She also loved cooking, gardening, going for drives in the country, and cheering on her Winnipeg Jets. Later in life she became interested in genealogy, and enjoyed browsing through her new DNA matches from all over the world. Though born in England, she also had roots in Scotland and Wales.
At Mum's request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
The family would like to thank the 3rd Floor staff at Riverview for the recent care and compassion and Victoria Hospital CancerCare, Dr. Goldenberg and Nurse Karen.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Riverview Health Centre.
Rest in peace Mum. You will be forever missed. Love you to the moon and back
