  • Alan and I knew Megan since she was 14 years old. She lived her life the way she wanted to and was strong and determined. She lived with us for a short period of time when she was 16, and one of my fondest memories was teaching her how to drive. The years went by and periodically we would see her. We were so very proud of her when she got a job at the school division as an education assistant and later assisted with the local chapter of CUPE. We called her our adopted daughter because we loved her like one and she gave us grief like any teenager gives their parents. Meghan and I laughed about it later when we saw each other. A few months ago she gave me a big hug and told me that she appreciated everything we had done for her all those years ago. We love you Meghan and you will be forever in our hearts. • Meghan and I were close friends in high school and she was my Maid of Honor at my Wedding. Life would get busy but we would always catch up and celebrate moments in our lives. I was so exciting when she was pregnant with Jack & Violet! And then another blessing with Alex! They all stopped in at our place after The touch a truck event. Everyone was happy, Meghan and I chatted. She told me the good news of getting a position back at Vincent Massey. I hold our last in person interaction in the front of my mind as your passing is still weighing heavy. Please know I will be there for your children if they need me. Love and miss you Meghan, Your forever friend Jenny Stephens - Posted by: Jenny Stephens (Friend) on: Oct 14, 2023
