Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I learned of Doug’s passing at the College of Pharmacy last weekend. We were celebrating the 50th anniversary of our class graduation. So I have known Doug for a very long time as a classmate and colleague as we were both in hospital practice. I remember running against him as Faculty of Pharmacy treasurer and was greatly relieved when I lost the election and learned about the dire condition of the student bank account. He was always so helpful and diligent in purchasing the best medications at the best price so that all Manitoba hospitals could benefit from his work. I am sending you very belated condolences on losing Doug and am sure that you must miss him very much. - Posted by: Anna Coulter (Przybylo) (Pharmacy classmate and colleague) on: Oct 07, 2025

  • Hello Carol & family, Doug, Carol, Chris & Matthew lived across the street from us for many years. Doug was a special person, caring, kind and considerate - always putting others ahead of himself. He accepted his health issues with strength and grace. We hope memories of him will help you over this sad time. Sending our sympathy. Hugs, June & Brian Sprott - Posted by: Brian & June Sprott (Neighbours) on: Oct 18, 2023

  • I had the pleasure of working with Doug for several years. I was a Pharmacy Tech. He was a patient teacher. He was respected by everyone who worked alongside him. My sincere condolences. - Posted by: Debbie Palson (Co-worker HSC Pharmacy) on: Oct 16, 2023
