On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Fernand Dufresne, beloved husband of Jeanne, passed away peacefully at the age of 85.
Fernand, fondly known as Fern, was born to Gerald and Jeanne Dufresne, on October 29, 1937 in St. Boniface.
Fern held many titles in his life, from entrepreneur to accomplished rail road engineer. His railroad career spanned 46 years with him holding the title of the number one man on the number one job at the CNR. He built and renovated many properties in his life but his favorite role was being a father and life coach. He loved nothing more than spending time with his adult children, Roger, Nicole, Philip and Raymond and he was always there for them.
Fern is survived by his wife Jeanne and four children, Roger, (Tammy), Nicole, Philip (Charyle) and Raymond. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brianne (Chris), Chantelle (Megan), Thomas, Michelle and Luke.
The family will hold a private service on October 27, 2023.

I got to know Mr. Dufresne over the last ten years or so. He was quite the engaging person, had a genuine laugh and a great sense of humor.
