RONALD GARY ACTIMICHUK
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Gary Actimichuk, with his eldest nephew Allan by his side, at the Concordia Hospital due to complications of cancer.
Ron was predeceased by his mother Lillian, father Alexander, and his eldest sister Bonnie. Ron leaves his three daughters, LeAnne, Amy, and Ashley. Grandchildren; Amber, Hailey, Jade, and Truth. Many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and all of his friends.
Ron was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and spent a brief time in the military as a young man. While raising his family, he worked for the city of Winnipeg for 29 years and very much enjoyed retirement since 2017.
Ron was known for his warm mischievous smile, thoughtfulness, giving heart and caring demeanor. He loved his family and enjoyed family time. In addition, Ron deeply valued his close group of friends.
Central to his life, was his faith to God and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom he humbly found sitting on a bench at a bus stop when he was 45 years young. A man approached Ron and could see that he was in distress and needed someone to talk to. That man Dave Perry witnessed to Ron and started a change in Ron that lasted the remainder of his life. Thank you, Dave Perry.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Concordia Hospital for their care and with the most gracious thank you to his neighbour, close friend and caregiver Pearl for her dedication, love, and thoughtfulness through his long walk to be with Jesus his Lord and Savior.
Psalms 121: 7-8
