KEVIN CHORNEY

It is with profound sadness that that the family announce the passing of Kevin David Chorney on November 14, 2023.

Kevin leaves his wife Jean, son Dylan, and daughter Katrina to forever cherish his memory. He will be missed by his parents, Norman and Myrtle Chorney, his brothers, Todd (Karen) and Dean (Susan) along with his nephews, his niece, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kevin was a member of the Sherwood Park Lutheran church where he discovered his love for music. He enjoyed singing with family and friends, and later on performed as an Evis Tribute Artist for both entertainment and competition. His family and friends will remember his kindness, helpfulness, and dedication.

We would like to thank the care and compassion Kevin received from his oncologist, Dr. Rimmer, as well as the doctors and nurses that cared for him at Health Sciences Centre.

A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date.

Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • My condolences to the family , Kevin lived only a few streets from me when we were growing up and riding the school bus together. I never forgotten the time he came over to my place and we made up a song on his first crush in high school. Recorded the song so he could play it to her, he was so shy back then. I happened to join the youth group, his talent for playing the guitar alway got better. Kevin was a true gentleman, always joking and smiling. I last saw Kevin at a radio controlled airplane show. He was quick to remind me about a car ride that we went on that I had forgotten about. Yes, I took him on a crazy ride back then. Thank you Kevin for all the good times in our younger years, your kind gentle soul will be missed here on earth. Again my condolences to the family. Till we meet again Kevin Chris Kilpatrick. • It is with sincere sadness that we express our sympathy to Jean and her family as well as to Kevin's parents and their sons. Kevin's parents are lifelong cousins and friends and even though we saw Kevin sporadically over the years, we kept up with his joys, sorrows and accomplishments through them. We were thrilled to meet Kevin and hear him perform his Elvis songs at Skinners in Lockport on May 25, 2019. I was very happy to pose with "Elvis " at this performance. I will cherish this picture, as well as a fond memory of him that evening. Kevin may you rest in peace after your difficult journey of cancer. - Posted by: Reg 7 Marion Suski (cousins) on: Nov 19, 2023
