Sweet Irene, I am sad I did not have the opportunity to meet you in person, I always wanted to!! The time I spoke with you on the phone was such a pleasure! Your sweet and kind demeanor was noted the minute you spoke. I remember receiving Christmas cards from you and Stan and thought how beautiful and happy both of you looked and was thankful he found love again! You were very loved and well thought of by his children Patsy and Dan. Whoever knew you, or in my case visited with you even just once, could definitely say you were such a light and a delight to know! You will be greatly missed by many! My deepest sympathy goes to family and friends of this lovely lady. - Posted by: Karen Campbell (Cousin of Stan Bader) on: Dec 11, 2023

Irene was a wonderful friend to both my mother Ursula & myself. Years ago Mum often accompanied Irene & Stan for perogie lunches at various churches and many Folklarama pavillions. After Stan's passing Irene, Mum & I would go clothes shopping (she loved clothes) and then we would join Irene for tea or lunch at the Canoe Club. The pandemic resulted in fewer visits but Irene always kept in touch with Mum by phone. She was a dear friend to my late Mother. I will miss your phone calls. Rest in peace Irene. - Posted by: Vera J onufrijczuk (Friend) on: Dec 11, 2023

Rest in Peace, Auntie Irene. Am reminiscing about different moments. I remember the trip to the States. There was always a bargain to be found. I remember going to the different clothes parties that took place in different community centers or homes. We always came home with something. Christmas dinners at Baba's were always fun. You were busy baking for weeks ahead of time. You and Stan visiting our house on Christmas Eve in later years so we could all catch up. Phone calls on December 6th as Stan and Mom celebrated their birthdays the same day. I remember when I bought my house at the beach you gave me plants for my yard. Some of those perennials are still coming up every year. Thank you. - Posted by: Sherrill Zukowski (niece) on: Dec 09, 2023
