It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Marcella, on December 3, 2023, at the age of 81 years at her residence at Vista Park Lodge with her family by her side.
Marcella was predeceased by her husband Terry Garner, her son Darryl Garner, her son-in-law Terry Baker and brother-in-law Mike Sidak. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Lori, grandchildren, Allysa, Haley, Myles and great-grandchildren, Silvio and Arianna, and siblings, Darlene, Hazel, and Wesley (Joan).
Marcella was raised in Angusville, Manitoba on the family farm. She enjoyed working with the farm animals. After high school, she moved to Winnipeg and worked at the Galpern Candy Factory where she met her future husband. Terry and Marcella were married on October 7, 1961. While raising her family, she enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. Marcella shared her loving and gentle ways with everyone she met.
A private family interment will be held in December and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If people so wish, a donation in Marcella’s memory can be made to the charity of their choice.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Vista Park Lodge for their exceptional care for Marcella.
