Peacefully at Vista Park Lodge on December 13, 2023, Mildred Derksen passed away at the age of 88 years.
She was born Frances Mildred Kovach then adopted by Abram and Anna Harder while still a baby. She grew up in Rosetown, Manitoba. Later she met Elmer whom she married and then moved to Winnipeg where she worked for the provincial government for 43 years.
Her greatest joys were when Elmer and the boys were building their homes and cottage as well as the countless road trips throughout Canada and the USA.
She treasured her extended family which she was able to finally meet in her mid-life.
Millie was predeceased by her husband Elmer in 2010 after 52 years of marriage.
She is survived by her three sons, Sheldon, Randy and Darren; brothers, Jim and Ernie; sisters, Hilda and Helen.
A private family graveside will be held at St. Vital Cemetery.
