It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of Gary Herkert on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
Gary is survived by wife Donna, sons Greg (Lee Anne), Trevor, Jason (Amber) and Kyle, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by sister Martha Hildebrandt, brother Tim (Sherry), numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1541 St. Mary’s Rd, Winnipeg, at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2023 with viewing a half hour prior. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Cemetery.

I would like to extend my sincerest condolences to you Donna, and family. I only just found out about Gary's passing and I'm saddened to read the news. I had not seen Gary since the start of the pandemic and did miss seeing him every few weeks for his appointments. He was always kind to me, and appreciative to have some relief from his treatments.
