Surrounded by the warmth of her loving family, Beatrice Kane passed away peacefully on January 16, 2024.
Beaty is survived by her beloved husband of over 56 years, Walter Kane, her two children, Ronald Kane and Michelle Kane, granddaughters, Jordan Kane and Lauren Kane, and her sister Marsha Udow. Beaty was predeceased by her parents, John and Lillian Gorsky and her sister Barbara Meyers.
Beaty was a cherished Mother, Baba, Aunt and devoted friend. She will be remembered for her sharp wit, brilliant mind, creative spirit and amazing ability to find humour and humanity in any situation.
The funeral service was held on January 18, 2024, at the Chesed Shel Emes with interment at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Meyers, Michael Gruber, Joshua Kane, Yaron Walter, Leon Pincovitch and David Stern. Honorary pallbearers were Lauren Kane, Arnold Chew and Dr. Rhoda Gledhill.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Rabbi Matthew Leibl as well as the staff of Riverview Health Centre 3 East Palliative Care Unit for their kind and compassionate care. May her soul rest in eternal peace and may her memory be a blessing.

On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, Beatrice Leona Kane (nee Gorsky) passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones.
Services will be held at the Chesed Shel Emes, 1023 Main St., Winnipeg, on Thursday, January 18 at 12:30 p.m. Funeral services will also be streamed via the Shaarey Zedek synagogue website.
