I met John a couple times before he was with Fran while still in Manitoba and they were awesome times. Visited with Fran and John when they were in Victoria and had a great time. He will be missed by many people especially the ones that he grew up with and are still living. Fran sorry to hear about your loss. - Posted by: Diana Trainor (Friend) on: Jan 20, 2024

Saddened to hear of John's passing. We were pretty close friends as kids growing up in south St. Vital. He taught me how to play hooky in Grade 1 at Woodlawn School. I don't think either of us new you were supposed to "not" be seen, as we rode around the neighbourhood on our bikes. Of course we got caught, and got the strap. I remember spending time at their cabin at Caddy Lake. As time went on we would shoot pool together at Charlie Shepherd's pool hall or at the "DAK". As life will have it, we lost contact with each other over the years. Still it's always sad to lose a person who was a part of your past. RIP my friend. - Posted by: Glenn Bigourdin (Friend) on: Jan 20, 2024

Our deepest condolences to you Fran! Johnny was quite the character and always a million laughs, Lawrence and I fondly cherish the memories we made with the both of you in BC. Restaurants and taking the boat (Madcap) out was an adventure. Big hugs to you Fran 💜 - Posted by: Cheryl Tuck (Friend ) on: Jan 20, 2024
