It is with great sorrow and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear father, Leon, at the age of 96, on January 18, 2024.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his beloved wife of 66 years, Doris (nee Paxton), his sons, Ron (Maureen), Dean (Leanne), and daughters, Linda (Scott), Sandy (Lyle), and Lisa (Duane), as well as 12 grandchildren, three great-grandsons, plus many friends and relatives.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Glen Lawn Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024.

I have been privileged to have known Leon and his family for many years. The last time I visited with Leon and Doris was at their cabin at Lester beach. Had I known this to be our last meeting I would had much to tell him. Growing up in Windsor Park, I remember all our good neighbours especially the Chale family. Leon always had a warm smile, a kind word or friendly greeting when ever I met him. His gentle spirit had a calming presence and integrity. Simply defined, he was a good man. You can see these qualities passed on to his children. Leon was my friend and if more men on earth were like him there would be no more wars. Rest now.
