MARY LEONNE BIGOURDAN
Mary Leonne (Lol) Bigourdan passed away peacefully on February 5, 2024, at Health Sciences Centre in her 90th year.
Left to remember and miss her are: Lol’s daughters, Liz (Gary Katynski), Jean (Dean Burnett), and Alexandra Glynis; grandchildren, Mariella, Aidan, and Noah; brother Wallace (Mae) in Calgary; many other family and friends; and grandpups, Ginger and Charlie. Lol was predeceased by her mother and father, Mary and Percy; her husband Frank; her sister Shirley Stephen; her niece Pat Stephen; and her brother Bruce Dickie.
Born in Winnipeg on November 10, 1934, Lol lived in St. Vital for many years. She attended Windsor School and Glenlawn Collegiate. She bowled, speedskated, played hockey, and softball at Glenwood Community Club. Lol was a stewardess for TCA, worked for CIBC, and married Frank in 1962. She cherished her visit to her friend, Yvonne, in Switzerland. Lunch and coffee at Maxime’s Restaurant always made her smile. Lol was a special mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
We love you Lol.
We honour Lol’s request that no service be held. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Health Sciences Centre or St. Boniface Hospital research foundations.
