CHRISTINE HENDERSON

(nee LAMBERT)

July 30, 1965 - January 17, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Chris, after battling a brief and brutal illness.

Mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Chris was only 58. She was a shining light in so many lives, especially that of her boys, Kelsey and Ethan. Family and friends meant so much to her – as did her love and dedication to her work, which was always with children in some capacity. Kids just naturally gravitated toward her, she had a true gift and often worked with those who were most in need.

Chris loved gardening and her little piece of heaven in St Malo, where you'd find her at the swimming hole basking in the water and sun, and at her little trailer she was so proud of.

She was predeceased by her father Emile Lambert just this past summer. She leaves to mourn her two sons, Kelsey (Danny) and Ethan (Amelia); mother Lorraine Lambert; sisters, Mimi Schlag (Sheldon) and Julie Ambrose (Ryan), and nieces, Amanada Combot and Eva Ambrose.

Her beaming smile, infectious laugh, and huge loving heart will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. If you wish to be notified of when or to send pictures or memories, please reach out to her son Kelsey at:

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I remember Christine as a beautiful woman who loved her sister’s dearly. She was always with them never letting a family get together go unattended. I am so sorry for the families loss of a kind, loving mother. She will be truly missed and remembered in the hearts of those who loved her forever and will live on through her children. - Posted by: Judy Ambrose-Walsh (Ryan’s mother) on: Feb 13, 2024

  • Our condolences Kelsey and Ethan on the loss of your mother. She was a bright light with an infectious laugh. She will be missed. - Posted by: Noel and Yolande Lambert (Uncle and Aunt) on: Feb 12, 2024

  • From the time I met her she was always really nice. She worked as hard as she could while ill when I was visiting for a week, in July of 2023. She was trying her best for the family and the cats; and she had a wonderful affinity for animals. Ethan would show her pictures of my farm animals. Along with her love for gardening, me and her father planted plants she couldn't plant herself while ill, before her father also passed. I'm sad I only got to meet her and her father one time, but it was wonderful finally meeting them in person. My family wishes they could've met them. Ethan has been handling it well, but I can tell it's been hard on him, along with it being harder to see his cats, Ramona & Madison. I'm sorry to everyone a part of the family or school for your loss, I can tell she was very important to so many people. - Posted by: Amelia DePoppe & the DePoppe family (Ethan's girlfriend) on: Feb 10, 2024

  • We send our deepest condolences to Christine's family. We share your sadness with the loss of such a beautiful young woman. Christine's beautiful smile and loving energy was evident when she worked with children of all ages. Her kind heart beamed bright. I am grateful for having met her through our work together with children; as well as enjoying time together at our mutual campsites in St. Malo. - Posted by: Tammy & Gilles Patenaude (Friend) on: Feb 10, 2024
