ADAM JOSEPH SEREDA-PAUL

September 9, 2009- April 1, 2024

We are beyond heartbroken to announce the untimely and unfair passing of our beloved Adam.
Adam was well known to so many. His wonderfully huge personality, contagious laugh and endless sense of humour ensured that you would never forget him.
The minute Adam started walking, he picked up his first mini hockey stick. The sticks got bigger with him over the years and more often than not, Adam had one in his hands. His passion was undeniable. He would spend hours skating at the ODR, taking shots on the driveway or playing in a street hockey game. If the weather was bad, there was sure to be an indoor game of mini sticks. Adam started playing organized hockey at age five and has made countless friends on various teams with St. Boniface Seals. He attended Churchill Hockey Academy which he loved. Starting his school day at Southdale Community Centre where he could be shooting pucks and learning new hockey skills was the perfect start to his day.
Adam started golfing these last few years so the driving range was a place you would find him hitting golf balls for hours in the summer. Whether it was hockey, golf, basketball or soccer he was always on the go. He had to be busy doing something at all times. Adam had a passion for life and hanging out with his friends.
Leaving to mourn are his parents Cindy Paul and Jason Sereda, best sister ever Kyra (Mathias), grandparents Al (Papa) and Erna Paul, Cec and Diane Sereda, uncles Rob Paul and Jaret Sereda, cousins Sophie and Layla Paul and many more family and friends.
Adam you were the most amazing son we could have asked for. Although Kyra wanted a little sister she fell in love with you the moment she saw you. You could make anyone laugh and brighten anyone’s day. We love you Buddy!
We would like to thank the staff and students at Churchill High School and the St. Boniface Hockey family that have all shown so much kindness during this unimaginable time. The love and support we’ve received from all across the city has touched our hearts more than words can express.
There will be a memorial in Adam’s honour April 15, 2024 at Southdale Community Centre. As a tribute to Adam's favourite pastime, there will be a stick and puck (helmet) skate from 5:15-6:15 pm (West Rink). Please join us in the hall to celebrate Adam from 6:15-8:30 p.m. There was nothing that Adam hated more than having to wear dress clothes on game day so please come in your casual rink attire.

  • Sending the entire family my deepest sympathy. Adam was a ball of energy and I will forever have the fondest memories of our mini stick games at Jays house. They were always intense and no mercy was given to this old lady. I had to be on and head in the game because every game was a playoff game for Adam even mini sticks in the basement. He would jump from a full out mini stick game and run outside to then roller blade, throw a football, kick a ball in the field, bike or play with friends and his laugh constantly heard the entire time. He found his love of music early from his dad and would dj for us ranging from classics to current. Adam just wanted to live life to the fullest in every 24 hours of the day. My heart is with you all. Sending you all my strength through this very difficult time. Much love. Xo - Posted by: Stacey Long (Friend) on: Apr 07, 2024
