JOAN HENDERSON
It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Joan Henderson on April 18, 2024 at the age of 64 years.
Joan will be dearly missed by her children, Jordan (Christine), Dane (Tigerlily), Ron Jr. (Emmy), Madison and Mandy (Jacob); numerous grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean, Myrelene, Caren (Wayne) and Deborah; brothers, David (Audrey), Derrick (Debra) and Donald (Andrea); nephew Richard; niece Tamara (Todd); numerous nieces and nephews and best friend Patricia Bruyere.
She was predeceased by her husband Ronald Hope; parents, Donald and Daisy; sister Kathy; brothers, Donald Jr. II, Darryl, Glen, Gerald, Cyrus and Michael.
Joan was an amazing mom, grandmother, and wonderful sister and aunt. She was a teacher for Sagkeeng First Nation for many years up until her retirement. We will miss her contagious laugh. Goodbye our beautiful baby sister.
Wake will be held at the Christ Church Anglican Hall, Sagkeeng First Nation from April 24 to 27, 2024. Funeral service will follow in the church chapel on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at a later date.
