Deanna went to be with the Lord on April 28th at the age of 77.
Deanna was raised on the family farm in Chatfield, Manitoba along with her two brothers and three sisters. When she finished school, she moved to Winnipeg and worked in healthcare. In 1969, she married the love of her life, Robert. Together, they raised three children. Deanna was a stay-at-home Mom and ran a home daycare for over 30 years. After retiring, Deanna spent many hours gardening, crocheting, and serving in her church, Holy Trinity.
Deanna was predeceased by her husband Robert of 51 years, her youngest son Gregory, her parents, her two brothers, Andy and Ron, and two brother-in-laws, Rudy and Tom. She is survived and will be missed by her son Darrell (Tracy), her daughter Brenda (David), her grandchildren, Madison, Taylor, Nathan, and Elise, her three sisters, Shirley, Linda (Stanley), and Carol, and many nieces and nephews.
Deanna loved to cook, garden, crochet, read, serve in her church, and spend time with friends and family. She was the kind of person who had never met a stranger and was a friend to all she met. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
In John 11:25, Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die..."
Celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd, Winnipeg, Manitoba. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Deanna.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the workers at Park Manor Care who cared for Deanna over the past few years.

I remember going to the family farm and spending time with Deanna and her siblings. It was always a thrill as we lived in the city and going to the farm was so different for me. Deanna was always kind to her city cousins. Unfortunately over the years lost touch, however would always hear about Deanna from other family members. So very sorry to all her family on the loss of a mom, sister, grandma and friend. - Posted by: maryann (cousin) on: May 04, 2024
