Reg passed away suddenly on May 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of family and fast cars. Reg was a devoted husband for 63 years to Lillian, and a loving father to Wendy (Harley), Jamie (Bill), Bradley, and Leah (Les). He was the proud grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of three.
Reg was born in Selkirk, Manitoba on February 9, 1938, and grew up helping out with his father's car dealership and race car. This fostered a lifelong love of cars, mechanics, and speed. He began drag racing in 1965, teaming up with Al Bodnarchuk to set two World Records at the World's Finals in 1975 and 1976. Reg was inducted into the Manitoba Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2014.
At 18, Reg met the love of his life. Reg and Lil were married in 1960 and began building their life together in Winnipeg. Their enduring love story serves as an inspiration to all who knew them.
Reg's strong work ethic and passion for cars fueled his success in various careers before retiring in 2020.
In his retirement, Reg enjoyed breeding tropical fish, tending to his immaculate backyard garden, and golfing with long-time friend Roger.
A family service has already been held to honour Reg's memory.

Reg and have been friends since the early 1950’s albeit there were a great many years since my leaving Winnipeg in 1962 that we did not have any contact. We picked up our communications a few years ago and kept in touch regularly. I will never forget Reg’s love of cars and his annual and infamous house party!!
