Edward Vesel, 93, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, peacefully passed away on May 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife, Mary Lynn, sons, Kevin and Darren and granddaughter Kyana.
Ed, as he was affectionately known, was a kind and good-hearted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a friend to many and always put others first. His light and jovial nature made him a welcome presence whether at work or play. Ed will be deeply missed and will forever remain in the hearts of his loving wife of 68 years, Mary Lynn Vesel, his sons, Kevin and Darren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a large group of caring friends.
Ed was born on May 11, 1931, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He attended Springfield School in Transcona, and Success Business School before embarking on a successful career at CNCP Telecommunications as a technician for 36 years until his retirement in 1988.
Outside of his work, Ed had a passion for building and creating things. He also enjoyed playing baseball, curling, and golf with friends. After retirement, he took up wood carving and cherished the camaraderie he shared each week. He and Mary Lynn enjoyed travelling the world, but the years at their Grand Beach cottage with friends, on the beach, or playing cards, and laughing late into the night, were some of their favourite times.
In addition to his family and hobbies, Ed's legacy is reflected in the memories and moments he shared with those around him.
Edward Vesel will be remembered for his generosity, his love for his family, and his joyful spirit that touched the lives of many. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
As per his wishes, no services are planned. However should you wish to express them, condolences can be sent to: The Vesels, 4200 Quitman Street, Denver, CO 80212 USA.
