Dear Arlette and family, We were so saddened to hear of Brian's passing in May. He was absolutely the greatest guy a person could ever meet, always showing a genuine concern for others. In August 2022, we were fortunate enough to see you both at George's home while you were visiting Winnipeg, which we will remember always. The world is a lesser place without him. Sincerest condolences to the entire Golding family. Rest in peace, dear friend. - Posted by: Garry and Allyson Woroniak (Friend of the family) on: Jun 23, 2024

Arlette, Robert, Aldin and all the Golding Family, I spent a whole lot of my young years in and around the East End (called the Mansion in those days). Of course, anybody that lived close by as we did was somewhat of a "rink rat" and never minded lending the Goldings a hand in the many activities Ed Golding and his family were instrumental in making available to our neighbourhood and beyond. Lifelong friendships were made in that building that now bears the name of the man that meant so much to so many. Brian was very much a part of the East End experience that I will always remember. Rest in Peace old friend! - Posted by: Janice Hoffman (Campbell) (Friend) on: Jun 02, 2024

Brian was my hockey coach when I was 11 years old. Throughout my teens he made a point of checking in to see how I was doing and offered advice. As a young man of 24, it was Brian who told me it was my turn to give back, and gave me a 12 year old hockey team of my own to coach. I coached until 2022, and owe Brian for getting me involved in the first place. I've loved every minute of my minor hockey career, filled with wonderful memories and enduring friendships with many players. I have followed Brian's lead and made a point of bringing many former players back to coach, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity and faith he showed in me. Rest in peace Brian, you are missed. - Posted by: Collin Doyle (Friend) on: May 30, 2024

Brian was a character at work. He looked forward to his retirement in BC. We were able to spend some time with Brian and Arlette when we visited Nanaimo. He loved buying and selling stuff and was very proud of their beautiful yard. Our deepest sympathies to Arlette and family. Lois and Bob - Posted by: Bob & Lois (Co-worker) on: May 30, 2024

Arlette and family, our heart breaks for all of you. So sad to hear of Brian’s passing. Even though Brian had a health issue ..he still kept himself busy doing whatever he could. His passion was his family along with carpentry and awesome garage sales. Him and his family were well known with the East End Arena in Transcona. Working hard for families to enjoy skating and hockey. Thank you Brian for all you and your family did for the citizens of Transcona. Rest in Peace. - Posted by: Carol & Glenn Chudley (Friends) on: May 30, 2024
