PHYLLIS LARGE

February 9, 1931 - May 27, 2024

Born February 9, 1931 near Rosetown SK, Phyllis moved to farm outside of Neepawa as a child and lived nearly her entire life in her beloved Southwest Manitoba. Phyllis married Richard Large in 1948 and together they raised four children.

Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Richard (2012), her only son Kenneth (1983), and her three brothers and six sisters.

Phyllis lived and worked in various places across Canada, but was happiest on the farm near Franklin, working alongside Richard contributing to all aspects of their farm operations - from seeding to harvesting, calving season, and raising chickens. Her greatest joy was dedicating tremendous time and effort to help raise her grandchildren. Many a happy summer was spent with gramma and grampa on the farm!

Sewing, knitting and crocheting were just a few skills that Phyllis not only mastered but taught at her fabric store in Minnedosa. She was also an avid gardener and a great cook and baker.

Phyllis will be missed by her three daughters, nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Darlene Beer, sons Spence and Jason (children Ava and Landon); Marguerite Hasiuk (Darrell), sons Daniel (Karen), children Jett and Talia, Kollin (Nathalie) children Devyn and Jakob, Timothy (Anneliese) children Liam and Annika; Kimberly Delmage (Blair), son Ben (children Brady and Raelyn), twin daughters Robin and Lindsay Staples (Graeme), son Coen; Ken's son Jordan Helm (Sonia).

Family graveside service at Riding Mountain cemetery Saturday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m.

In memory of Phyllis, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
