It is with sadness we announce the passing of Isabelle Redden on January 24, 2024, at the age of 80 years, after a battle with pneumonia.
Isabelle, formerly of Winnipeg, had made her home in New South Wales, Australia, first in Sydney (Eastwood) in 1970, and then retiring to Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains in 1998.
She is survived by her brother Harry (Sandra) of Vernon, BC, and her sister Phyllis Eastoe of Winnipeg, also nieces, Catherine Norrie (James), Christine Smith (Andrew), Allyson Van Dinther (John) and nephew Gordon Eastoe, as well as great-niece Lauren Smith and great-nephews, Cameron Smith, Jay and Jonah Norrie, and Ethan and Logan Van Dinther.
Isabelle was skilled at crafting but the most dear to her heart was quilting. She made numerous close friends through her quilting groups over the years. Although she had no blood relatives in Australia, she made many connections with neighbours who were like family. Her dogs, first Marilla and Prince (Rhodesian Ridgebacks), followed by Emma (a black Lab), drew people in as well. Isabelle has now rejoined her fur children on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
