Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAN DOREEN GRAY
Peacefully and surrounded by her family, Joan passed away at the Victoria General Hospital on May 27. Predeceased by her husband Ken in 2021, Joan will be lovingly remembered by her children Brian (Linda), Elaine (Foster), Glenn (Lori), Donna (Doug), Doug (Teresa) and grandchildren Scott (Laura), Blayne (Danielle), Carly, Kelsi, Shelbi, Carson and great-grand children Nicolai and Layla. Joan grew up in Winnipeg. She was a loving wife, mom and grandma and took great pride in her home and family.
Joan was always very fashionable. Her hobbies included sewing and knitting which always produced very fashionable outfits for herself and family. She always loved a new outfit to go dancing with the love of her life. She enjoyed bridge and belonged to various bridge clubs for many years.
Joan could always be counted on to be the chief navigator to chauffeur her children and grand children to various activities. She enjoyed supporting her circle of local businesses. Joan and Ken loved travel and to host family dinners where she would spend hours cooking and baking family favorites. There was always a standing invitation for Friday Happy Hour at their family home or cottage.
The family extends special thanks to the aides, nurses and doctors at Victoria General Hospital 4S. A private celebration will he held at a later date.

Aunty Joan was always a voice of sense to us. She was always loving, happy to see us and always had some goodies ready. Whether at the cottage or home a drop was welcome. Uncle Ken and Aunt Joan are missed by us and always will be. They are in our thoughts always. Condolences to the cousins and their families. Love Ray and Margaret. - Posted by: Ray and Margaret Taplin (Nephew and wife) on: Jul 11, 2024

My sincerest condolences to the whole family. Joan was such a lovely lady and I always enjoyed our conversation when I walked by the house with the dog. She will be truly missed by all. May she rest easy with her love Ken. All our love Szumlak family - Posted by: Maddy (Neighbor) on: Jun 11, 2024

Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your Mom and Grandma. She was always very welcoming and definitely was tolerant of all our Lake shenanigans. Thinking of you all at this time. Randy & Susan Briercliffe. - Posted by: Susan & Randy Briercliffe (friend) on: Jun 08, 2024
