It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen, beloved friend, spouse, sister, mother and grandmother. Surrounded by her family, she peacefully passed on June 9, 2024 at St. Boniface Hospital, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Susan (nee Wiebe) and older brother Edward. Kathleen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Jesse (Nicole) and Matthew (Elise), spouse Daniel, stepdaughter Ellee, grandchildren Brayden and Lucas, younger brother John, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.
Amongst all her hobbies and pastimes, nothing made her happier than being surrounded by the ones she loved. Kathleen’s infectious laugh, big smile, fantastic hugs, and welcoming, loving, caring nature will forever be missed.
We love you, past the moon and the stars, forever and always!
Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and healthcare staff at the Palliative Care Unit (8th floor) at St. Boniface Hospital for their exceptional care and loving support during Kathleen’s last days.
As per Kathleen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Craig’s Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Kathy's passing. I have so many memories of our amazing little pocket of neighbors, with meetings of conversation at the communal fence, and watching the older boys play hockey on the street from my bedroom window when I was supposed to be sleeping. Auntie Kathy was a wonderful lady, who was loved by everyone who knew her. She was full of life, and was never one to show her love her two sons and her two grandsons, and to myself as well. I have many great memories of her and her family during the Christmas times spent in Saskatoon growing up, to the trips to Cuba, Disneyland, Disney World, and Fairmont, B.C. She had a contagious smile. I was glad to have spent time with her this past Christmas and in March so that my wife could meet her. She was so happy to see us, and it made the pain that she was going through, go away for those times. I love and miss you very much Auntie Kathy.
