Manuel Xavier Fernandes passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada at the age of 77 years. He was predeceased by his father, Anthony Fernandes and mother, Felician Fernandes.
Manuel is lovingly remembered by his brothers, Maximo Fernandes and Patrick Fernandes, and his sister, Flory Kreutter, MD. He is survived by his nieces: Chantelle Kreutter, Danielle Kreutter, Gabby Kreutter, Trina Fernandes, and Brittany Fernandes as well as his nephews: Ryan Fernandes, Shawn Fernandes, Jordan Fernandes and Jimmy Kreutter.
A prayer vigil and visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18 at Cropo Funeral Chapel at 1442 Main St., Winnipeg, MB starting at 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. A liturgy and Holy Mass service will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 noon at St. Peter's Church, 2624 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB with Monsignor Mike Nwosu presiding. Following the service, the interment will be at Brookside Cemetery.
