It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our loving Mom, Grammi, Sister, Aunt and friend who passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at the age of 88 years old.
Mom lived a wonderful life, filled with love and laughter, she touched the lives of all who knew her.
She spent a rewarding 33-year career with the St. Boniface School Division as an elementary teacher, where she made many lifelong friends.
Betty was an active member of the Catholic Women’s League and spent many happy hours with her Grief Group friends.
Mom was always there when we needed her most, offering support, wisdom, endless prayers and love in abundance. She was sustained by her abiding faith in God.

Mom is survived by her son David Delaquis, wife Mona-Lisa Lauze, grandchildren, Luke and Daniel, daughter Caroline and son Alain and grandchildren, Ryan and Julia. We will miss our mom so much and were blessed to have you with us for so many years.

I remember Madame Delaquis from Van Bellegham School. It would have been sometime in the mid 60's and she taught us in grade 3. She was such a great lady and a wonderful teacher. My condolences to her family. - Posted by: Tammy Stark (student) on: Jun 23, 2024

Alain, Caroline, and family, my deepest condolences on the passing of your mom. She was always so nice to me when I was little; inviting me in, and having some wonderful conversations with her and your father. They will always be a part of my fondest memories growing up on our street, memories that are still cherished and never forgotten. - Posted by: Geoff Banjavich (Neighbour ) on: Jun 20, 2024

I was reading the paper today and came across an obituary that caught my attention. The name and face of the person struck a chord with me, and at 47 years old, I realized who she was. Back in 1987-88, I attended Niakwa Place School for just one year in grade 5, and she was one of the kindest teachers I had ever met. The fact that she has remained in my memory all these years speaks volumes about her incredible kindness. Condolences her family and friends. - Posted by: Jeff Arnason (Student ) on: Jun 18, 2024
