It is with heavy hearts and much love the family announces the peaceful passing of Verna Kozak on June 14, 2024, at the Vita Personal Care Home at the age of 97.
She is survived by her sons Wasyl (Kathy) and Peter (Lelia); grandsons Michael (Janette) and John; and great-grandsons Christian and Nash. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Eugene, Leonard, Frank, Sally and Florence. She was predeceased by her husband Peter, daughter Doris (Leo), and son Nestor.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Vita Personal Care Home for the wonderful care and compassion Verna received while she was a resident there for the past 2 1/2 years. We cannot thank you enough.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 25th at Korban Funeral Chapel, 45 Railway Avenue, Vita, with Rev. Alan Wizinsky officiating. Interment will follow in Tolstoi, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Verna's memory to Tolstoi Sacred Heart of Jesus Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 211, Emerson, Manitoba R0A 0L0 or a charity of one's choice.
