The Sandhu Family, with full hearts, would like to announce that our family matriarch Bhagwan Kaur Sandhu passed away peacefully at 5:30 a.m. on June 22, 2024.
Bebe, as we all lovingly called her, was born August 27, 1925. Although Bebe had three biological children, in reality she had four - two daughters: Shawinder Kaur Sidhu (late) (husband Kirnal Singh Sidhu (late)) and Gurbachan Kaur Brar (husband Lahora Singh Brar) and two sons: Ravinderpal Singh Sandhu (wife Jaspreet Kaur Sandhu) and Gurjant Singh Sandhu (wife Rajinder Kaur Sandhu). Bebe was married to Sardar Sarwan Singh Sandhu and they both immigrated to Canada in August of 1981. Bebe and Baba were married for approximately 50 years when Baba passed away in 1996. Bebe was a family first person and she was blessed with many grandchildren (13) and great-grandchildren (27). Bebe had 13 grandchildren, Harkirat Brar, Rupinder Sidhu, Herinder Sidhu, Harsharan Brar, Navdeep Sekhon, Karen Sandhu, Amarjit Aulakh, Baljit Brar, Avtar Sandhu, Gunwant Warriach, Jasper Sandhu, Gurdarshan Sandhu, Heather Sandhu. In her almost hundred years she touched countless lives and left a lasting legacy of an extremely strong, caring and ambitious woman. Bebe will be greatly missed in our everyday lives but at the same time the life lessons she imparted on us will live on forever.
The family wants to extend a grateful and warm thank you to the staff at Seven Oaks for the amazing care that they provided.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28 at the West St. Paul Crematorium and Funeral Home at 92 Merit Crest, West St. Paul.
