EDITH WEBER
Peacefully on Monday, June 24, 2024, at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home Edith passed away a month shy of her 99th birthday.
Edith was predeceased by her husband Edgar, brother Heinrich, sister Ida and sons-in-law, Bill Scott and Jack Pearce. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Helmut (Amy) Weber, Gerda Scott, Ingrid Pearce, and Artur (Ludmilla) Weber, grandchildren: Michael, Bobbie, Christopher, Karilee, Tracy, Jay, Eduard and six great-grandchildren. Also, sister-in-law Erika, niece Karin, nephew Henry, brother-in-law Heinrich (Ida) and family in Germany.
We all have many fond memories of the wonderful extended family gatherings on Oakwood Ave., at White Lake, Jessica Lake and then Swan Lake Bay. At each event Mom would prepare one of her delicious home cooked meals, topped off with a decadent dessert. Then we would all rally around the dining room table for a great game of cards, or, in more recent years, a riveting game of Yahtzee. Finally, there was always the quick round of brandy. Then, after hugs and goodbyes, Mom would retire to her bedroom with a smile, and good book by her side.
In accordance with Edith's wishes, no service will be held. Interment will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home.
Special thanks to the staff at St. Norbert Personal Care Home for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or a charity of your choice.
