She was predeceased by her husband Ronald and parents, Ludwig and Maria.
A graveside service will take place on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue. Refreshments and dainties to be served afterwards at Tammy/Ryan's place of residence nearby as we all know Janet loved to socialize.

Our most sincere condolences to Tammy & the Wonnick families, we appreciated living 'up the street' from Janet & Ron back in the 80's and renewing our Rosenfeld connection with Janet, she will be missed but lovingly remembered by all who crossed paths with her over the years ♥ Elaine (Pokrant) & Stuart J. - Posted by: Elaine Janke (Friend & Former Neighbour) on: Aug 03, 2024

My condolences to Janet's family. I got to know Janet in high school. She became a dear friend those 4 years. She always had a smile. At that time, Janet bet Edna Penner and I, Judi Wiebe, that she would not get engaged in 1972. Us three girls also bet each other that the first one to have a baby would have to pay the other two persons each $1.00. I can't remember if we followed up on that! Janet sat at the guest book at John's and my wedding in 1972 and I sat at the guest book at her and Ron's wedding in October/1975. Memories... My prayers are with you as a family. My deepest sympathies to you Tammy and family and to Dennis and Ray. I was one of your Mom’s bridesmaids. We did not get together but we communicated via Christmas cards and she always sent me a Birthday card. I am going to miss receiving those cards. - Posted by: Paulette Desaulniers (Friend) on: Jul 25, 2024

Sincere condolences to Dennis, Ray, and Tammy. Janet was a very good friend growing up in Rosenfeld. So many wonderful memories, especially during our teenage years. Attending lots of dances and many high school functions together. She was a very generous soul and always would have lots of time for you. Had not seen Janet in a number of years, but we did have yearly contact with Christmas cards and sharing with each other how our year had been. She surely will be missed by family and friends. Dear Tammy, Ryan, Dennis, Ray, Ida and families, Sincere sympathy to all of you on the sudden passing of Janet. Our families attended St. John Lutheran Church together in Rosenfeld. I believe Janet and I were even “shirt-tail” relatives through my dad’s and her dad’s side of the family. We visited with the Wonnicks on their farm. They treated us so well. One particular memory I have is of an old manual typewriter they had upstairs. Janet taught me how to use the typewriter keys in a correct fashion. So exciting! Later Janet and I attended W.C. Miller Collegiate High school together in Altona. Janet was so kind and friendly to all. I will miss our annual Christmas card exchange and an occasional telephone call across the miles. Dearest Tammy. The circle of life has many segments. Some filled with joy and laughter and some with pain of loss. Now I will remember and reminise the good times we shared together growing up. May God hold you tight as you grieve. Then fill you with His Peace. Love you, Marilyn. - Posted by: Marilyn swain (Cousin) on: Jul 23, 2024

My condolences to Tammy, Ryan, Dennis, Ray and Ida on your loss. Janet was a good friend growing up together. We were in the same confirmation class together and stayed in contact till I moved to Alberta. I was always a pleasure when we met up on some of my visits back home. May God be with you at this time and cherish the memories. Ray Janke, Edmonton. - Posted by: Ray Janke (Friend ) on: Jul 23, 2024
