  • Dr. Roland Guzman I have known Dr. Guzman since the early 1970's, I must say he is one of the pioneers and pillar of the Filipino Community in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was very much involved in the growth and development of the Community. I happened to be elected President of the Philippine Association of Manitoba (PAM) and he was one of my picked as Adviser. I always consulted him and the other advisers for the development of programs and services to address the many issues encountered by Filipino immigrants. He indeed served the community well with the establishment of the first Philippine Center on Juno Street to serve as a meeting place and a place to deliver services to the community. Later he again was deeply involved on moved to its current location, the Philippine Community Center of Manitoba (PCCM) on Keewatin St. Dr. Rolando Guzman in his continuing voluntary service to the Filipino community became the Honorary Consul for the Philippines Government to deliver the growing needs of consular service to the community. Thank you Doc, I salute you! My sincere condolence to Dr. Irene Guzman and the Children, RIP Doc, we are going to miss you!
