It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear and beloved Mom Liz.
Our Mom was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in September 2023 after moving to Edmonton, AB and fought courageously for 11 months.
She leaves behind to mourn her passing her six children, Sherry Burley (Dan), Niki Schledwitz (Ron), Lisa Adams (Mark), Billy Chartrand (Emily), Tannys Chartrand (Don) and Sam Chartrand (Tobi) along with her 21 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren with two more great-grandchildren on the way.
Liz was the fourth child in a family of eight siblings Bob, Ian (Pat), Brian (Cindy), Tannys, Janet (Sam) and Barry, she was predeceased by both her parents Thomas (Tom) and Jean Sweet (nee Bell) and her dear brother Joe Sweet and her brother in law Ted.
Our mom enjoyed many different activities, she loved to play cards, she bowled with every member of her family at some time in her life, she played baseball and she even curled for a few years. Liz enjoyed working at Sobeys for 20 plus years where she retired and had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful people.
There will be a come and go celebration of her life at Niki and Ron's home in Winnipeg, MB on Thursday, August 8, 2024, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., for location details please reach out to any of her children.
There will be another Celebration of Life in Edmonton, AB at a later date.
