Betty passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Niverville Personal Care Home on Sunday August 18, 2024.
She was predeceased by her parents, Clara and John Shale, and sisters, Irene and Bernice.
She is survived by her husband Lenard and daughter Diana (Joseph) Kennedy.
Betty was extremely talented and artistic; from singing, knitting, crafting and painting beautiful artworks. She enjoyed reading books, gardening, volunteering for the Girl Guides of Canada and going camping with her daughter Diana at Birds Hill Park each summer.
She worked in administration and finance for the Fort Osborne Barracks, Indian & Northern Health Services and Quarantine and Immigration Health Services.
She was known for her witty sense of humour, always with a smile on her face and her contagious laugh. She will be greatly missed by her family.
There will be no formal service, but a small family gathering will be held at the time of interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
