BRUCE THOMAS HARRALD

May 5, 1944 - September 7, 2024

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Bruce Thomas Harrald on September 7, 2024.

Bruce was born in Toronto on May 5, 1944. He was the second of three sons to Thomas and Dorothy Harrald (Hutchinson).

He was predeceased by his older brother Richard (Noreen) and will be missed by his younger brother James and his sister-in-law Elaine (Mike) along with many nieces and nephews.

Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sharon, son David (Jennifer), daughter Brenda (Rafi) and son Kevin (Sharon), along with grandchildren, Miranda (Bryce), Adria (Zack), Quinton, Jessie, Cassandra, Connor, Scott and Daniel, and great-grandson Jameson.

Bruce shared his love of the outdoors with his family and friends alike, filling summers at the lake and on the water, or in the winters on one of many ski trips. Bruce was an avid angler and outdoorsman, and if you spent any amount of time with him you probably also went fishing with him.

Bruce maintained many lifelong friends. From his early childhood years to great friendships with many he worked with to the neighbourhood friends on Lake Park for over 45 years and his recent and newfound friends at Redview Terrace.

Many could attest that Bruce loved to be part of a good time, and if one didn’t happen along, he would surely create one. And along with those were some great and lasting memories.

In keeping with Bruce’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held.

A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, 1:30 p.m., at the United Church in Meadowood, 1111 Dakota St., Winnipeg. Attendees are invited to share their stories of Bruce.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Bruce’s honour may be made to a charity of your choice.
