Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORELEI JAMIE SAMPSON
Lorelei Sampson passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on October 12, 2024 with her family by her side.
Lorelei was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She adored her children and grandchildren and they in turn adored her. They were her source of greatest joy.
She could always been seen with a smile on her face and she loved to laugh.
She enjoyed all of our family get-togethers. Especially at Christmas, she enjoyed helping her mother-in-law Barbara prepare an abundance of the most delicious dinners for all to enjoy.
For part of her working life, she was a hairstylist until her health no longer allowed her to continue. She thoroughly enjoyed her work, loved her customers and they loved her.
She displayed tremendous courage and strength during her illness and was an inspiration to those around her. She will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones.
Lorelei is survived by her husband Kester. They would have celebrated 38 years of marriage on October 18th of this year. She is also survived by son Kyle; daughter Kayla (Arnie); grandchildren, Yazmin, Michael and Vida; mother-in-law Barbara; brothers-in-law, Keith (Debbie), Kirk (Heather), Kerry (Sandra), Kordel, Kyle (Kim); her family in BC; father Harry Bell (Cheri); brother Herb (Roxanne); sisters, Lily (Fred) and Laine; along with her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
She is predeceased by her mother Dorothy; father-in-law Len Sampson; brother Huck Moon; and sister Janet Paul.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at St. John's Anglican Cathedral, 135 Anderson Avenue on Saturday, October 26th at 11:00 a.m.

My beautiful sister ❤ I'm really missing you already 😢 I have to accept that you are no longer in pain with your RA. You were my "go to person" with my RA. Now who am I going to vent to. Lorelei's lived most of her life in Winnipeg. I joined the family in '75. We lived in the Valley Gardens area. I was so lucky to have her and our aunty teach me, especially throughout our teens. We were raised by our mother and we must have drove her nuts some days because we're only 2 years apart. We used to look forward to the junior high dances. We loved dancing. We were lucky our mom taught us her love of music 🎶 We also lived in the North End and Kenora, Ontario for a while until making Transcona my final home before returning to BC in '85. I don't remember why we attended different high schools, but you met your high school sweetheart around then. Our teen years were spent babysitting, dances; including mom's AA dances, roller skating and our boyfriends and friends. Even though we were away from our dad, we were so blessed for your godparents: Bill and Toni Higgins and family. They treated us like family. After high school, we drifted apart. We pretty much chose our adult lives. You chose Kester and I chose BC. Eventually we all moved to BC and you remained in Winnipeg. We are so thankful for Kester and family taking care of you ❤ 🙏 💙 ♥ You were definitely loved and respected! Unfortunately, due to our health, we are unable to make it to her Celebration of Life, but so glad it will be videod live. Rest in peace, Sis! 'Til we meet again ❤❤ - Posted by: Lily Bell (Sister ) on: Oct 20, 2024
