JEFFERY JOHN WIENS
We are shocked and very saddened to announce the sudden and unexpected death of our son, Jeffery John at the age of 35 years. Precious son of John and Dorothy Wiens and much loved brother of Ian and Ian’s girlfriend Kelsey. Co-workers shared that Jeff was having an excellent day at work on Tuesday, October 8. He was happy, laughing, joking and was full of energy that day (he didn’t always have much energy). His sudden collapse and prompt intervention by co-workers, paramedics, Health Sciences Emergency and ICU staff gave him the VERY best chance but they were not able to save our boy. We had to say goodbye and release him into God’s hands at 2:15 a.m. October 9, 2024. Jeffery and the pallbearers will be wearing Winnipeg Jets jerseys and we encourage all who will be attending to please feel comfortable to also wear anything Winnipeg Jets. In lieu of flowers the family would like you to consider donating in Jeffery’s memory to Hope Centre Ministries, 83 Henderson Highway, Winnipeg, MB R2L 1L2. The service is Monday, October 21, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
