It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Beck. John was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend.
John was predeceased by his brothers, Arnold and Charlie, and survived by daughter Andrea; sons, Bruce (Corinne) and Grant; granddaughters, a great-granddaughter, as well as many nieces and nephews.
John had a long career with the government starting with Natural Resources and moving on to Manitoba Hydro for over 35 years until his retirement at age 62.
John was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed mountain climbing, hunting, sailing, running, canoeing, kayaking and bird watching. He particularly enjoyed his beloved cottage at Lake of the Woods where he enjoyed fishing, many sunsets and stargazing.
He will be deeply missed.
Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, October 24, 2024, by E.J. Coutu Funeral Home, 680 Archibald Street, Winnipeg, MB.

Grew up with John in WPG. He was part of a group of friends that enjoyed the freedom of living without over autocractic parents. He always kept in touch when visiting BC on his way north plus the Yukon. He never made a big deal about his many exploits. Proud he was a long last friend.
