Peacefully with her family by her side, we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother Mildred Teleglow on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the age of 84.
Mildred will be lovingly remembered by her son Nick (Gale, (Natasha, Colin (great-grandchildren Kimberly, Kyle))) Daughter-in-law Heather Wardrop (Meagan, Alex) Daughters, Kim Shepherd (Iain (Cameron)), Cheryl Meyer (Amber, Kelsey).
Mildred was predeceased by her parents Ida and Edward Jobb, husband Nick, son Mitchell and grandson Kyle.
Mildred was born in Beausejour, MB., June 9, 1940 and is the oldest of seven siblings. Her parents farmed in Whitemouth and then they moved to Golden Bay in 1946. In 1947, they moved to Dufresne, MB., where they continued to farm. Farming was in her blood as she married Nick Teleglow in 1960 and continued to farm with him near St. Geneviève. She had passion for the farm and loved all the animals. Mom worked very hard her whole life and it began to take an affect on her health. In 2022, she decided to move off the farm into Bridge Park Manor in Steinbach. It was a difficult move at first but she made many new friends. She was never far from the involvement of the farm, still always wanted to know how the planting or harvest was going and offering her advice.
She found great comfort in her church Prairie Grove Fellowship in Lorette and was a faithful member of the congregation until the last year when her mobility made it difficult to attend.

My parents were Gladys and Norman Penner who started a Sunday School in Rosewood and later one in Prairie Grove which later became a church. Mildred attended the Sunday school as did I in the 1950s. I offer my Condolences on Mildred's passing. Lloyd Penner. - Posted by: Lloyd Penner (past acquaintance) on: Oct 25, 2024
