KEITH JOSEPH MCLANDRESS
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Keith Joseph McLandress on October 13, 2024, at Belleville Hospital in Belleville, Ontario. Born in 1978, he was raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Keith was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. He battled his illness with remarkable courage.
Despite difficult surgeries he remained resilient in spirit. The light of Jesus shone through him and his faith and trust in the Lord strengthened him even in the most difficult days.
In his youth, Keith was an accomplished swordsman, excelling in Sabre. He was also a passionate rock climber along with many other activities.
He earned his Bachelor of Commerce (honours) degree from the University of Manitoba, a testimony to his dedication and intellect.
He enjoyed hotel management, and with his professionalism and work ethic he was a positive influence on his co-workers.
Keith never married, but shared his life with many close friends. He was kind and thoughtful and touched others with his dry, sometimes dark sense of humour. He leaves a legacy of determination and unwavering sense of humour, even in the worst days.
Keith leaves to mourn his loving mother Susan Jobin, sister Korie-Lynn Smith (Richard) and nephews, Jonathan and Wyatt to whom he was more like a big brother. He was also dearly loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father William Allen McLandress, and stepfather Maurice Jobin. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to those left behind. Funeral services will be held on November 6, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at Fort Richmond Baptist Church, 10 Radcliffe Rd., Winnipeg. Donations accepted at CancerCare Manitoba in lieu of flowers.

Keith, the beautiful, blond boy who, unofficially, became my ‘son’ after meeting him. His mom and I were working colleagues. I watched him grow up into this wonderful man who was an inspiration to so many, especially after being diagnosed with sarcoma. I will never forget his dry sense of humor, ‘our dates’ to see the Star Trek movies and so many other things. But most of all, his love for Jesus and his family helped him navigate the twists and turns of the road he travelled. Keith leaves a life story that made, and will continue to make a positive impression on many. He really was the ‘gentle giant’! To know Keith was to love him, and I did with all my heart. I will miss him but I have wonderful memories to keep him close to my heart and I look forward to the day when I will see him again, in perfect health. - Posted by: Jennette McCalla (Very close friend) on: Nov 07, 2024

I never met Keith or his sister but when I worked with her as a nurse she was very proud of her children and their accomplishments. We would often hear stories of their accomplishments and how they had to overcome many ups and downs of their lives. Faith in God has kept you and your family strong. May God continue to give you strength. n. - Posted by: `Doreen Amadatsu (Friend and co-worker of mother) on: Nov 01, 2024

We have known Keith off & on during his life. When he was a little boy I remember a cute blonde haired boy, quiet & pleasant at our wedding. As the years went by he shot up to 6’ something. I remember him picking me up bodily (me being 5’). What a memory!! Over the years hearing through his Mom what was going on in Keith’s life….. the ups & the downs. His Mom always understandably PROUD of him! Dennis & I got to know Keith more personally when he got diagnosed with sarcoma and his Mom came to live with him in Winnipeg. Over that time period my husband & I learned how amazing this young man was! I think with his Mom & Jesus’s ministering he travelled this difficult road with an amazing attitude coming up with that dry sense of humour. I remember him asking for a vaccination in his left arm (the one that had been removed!) Keith gave the world a perfect example of a Christian young man, putting his life in Jesus’s hands. A shining example! He will be missed by myself and my husband, but NEVER forgotten! - Posted by: Dennis & Maureen Evachewski (Friend) on: Oct 30, 2024
