It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Trumbla, who left us peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the age of 92 with his loving family by his side.
Carl was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Yvette for 57 wonderful years. He cherished his role as a loving father to his children, Karen (Bob), Keith, Monique (Scott) and Jason (Jennifer).
His greatest joy were his grandchildren, Grant (Melissa), Matthew, Decklan, Karlie, Savannah, Colton, Blake and his precious little great-granddaughter Lily.
Predeceased by his wife Yvette; his parents, Elmer and Gwendoline; his two sisters, Nora (Allan) Zastre and Sarah (Paul) Allard as well as his nephew Roy Zastre.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at West Park Manor for their kind and compassionate care of Carl for the last six years. A special thank you is extended to nurse Nancy, who stayed with Papa/family even beyond her shift to help us through this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Winnipeg Humane Society in Carl's memory.
A Mass and Celebration of Life will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2400 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. A reception to follow after the service.
