JOYCE ELSIE CYR

The family regrets to announce the peaceful passing of Joyce Elsie Cyr on Friday, October 25, 2024.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents Dave and Violet Knight, our beloved aunty Woo, our Nan, her husband, our father, Arthur Cyr, her brother-in-law Bob Duffin, her beloved partner Stuart Wright and lifelong friend Sharon Borle.

She will be missed by her children Sean (Tracy), Quinn (Shelly), Shannon (Jamie), Megan (Joe) and grandchildren Jessie, Taylor (Albert), Keesha (Tim), Logan, Brooke, Jaxon, Jasper, Jorja, Jessa, and her great grandson Blake along with her sisters Sheelagh (Bob), Mary, nieces and nephews Chris (Erin), Kelly (JR), Matt (Malinda) and their children.

Joyce had a very fulfilling life and was never happier than when surrounded by family and friends. We all have very fond memories growing up on Girdwood with her dear neighbour Joan Hayes and family. She took much pride in her garden and enjoyed being outdoors, and especially enjoyed golfing with Stuart and spending time with her grandchildren.

The family thanks Naomi and the people at Home Care and the staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital for caring for Joyce in her final days.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
