MARJORIE RUTH KWASNIK
Marjorie Ruth Kwasnik (née Newbery) passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024, at Misericordia Place Personal Care Home in Winnipeg.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, Joseph, and her parents Elliott and Lorene.
She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children, Walter, Sheri and Katherine and her grandson, Daniel. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Cathy, Frederick, Edith and Rene, as well as her cousin, Dianne, and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Marjorie was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she lived her whole life. Her family was the center of her universe. She loved reading, playing cribbage and bingo, doing puzzle books, and her cat, Lacy. Marjorie enjoyed the simple things in life whether it was having a coffee with her siblings, talking about times long past or participating in the daily activities of the care home. She was happiest when she was surrounded by people.
The family would like to extend our thanks to the staff of Misericordia Place Personal Care Home for the care and attention given in the latter years of her life.
A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marjorie’s memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
