On November 2, 2024, George "Spuddy" Barton passed away at age 75.
He is survived by his wife Eleanor of 54 years, his daughters, Joanne and Wendy, grandchildren, Vanessa and Peter, as well as sisters, Debbie, Linda and Judy. He will be missed by several nieces and nephews, many friends and colleagues and his special fur baby Chi Chi. George was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Daniel, as well as his brothers, Gary, Gordon, Raymond and sister Nadine.
George was born October 14, 1949, and grew up in Winnipeg. He attended Sisler High School and spent most of his life working in electronics repair. Prior to retirement in 2018 he worked as a power engineer and security at Magellan.
At George's request, no funeral service will be held. A private interment will be at a later date. If so desired, please make a donation in his memory to an animal shelter of your choice as George loved his pets dearly.

George was a childhood friend we grew up with, he was always a good friend rode his bike to our house and was always funny and was a real character and we shared a lot of laughter.
