After a brief illness, Lorraine Gaschermann passed away at the Grace Hospital on November 5, 2024, at the age of 93 years.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Ida Kramer, and is survived by her two sons, Mark and Greg Gaschermann, and her cousin Marion Korn.
Lorraine was born in Winnipeg March 19, 1931, and attended John M. King, General Wolfe, and Daniel McIntyre schools.
She enjoyed spending summers at her parents cottage on Lake of the Woods, with her family. She also loved baking and her chocolate truffle cake and hazelnut torte were a favourite at birthday parties. Lorraine enjoyed music and started playing piano at the age of four.
Cremation has taken place and as per her wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
